Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and personalized to you.
In some ways, the therapy journey is like going on a long road trip together. You’re in the driver’s seat— you get to decide how fast you drive, where you’re headed, and how you’ll get there. I’m in the passenger seat as a helpful, kind, and patient navigator— one who might help you decide where to go, gently point out when you’ve gone off course (or stopped altogether), and who can also help you notice and enjoy what is happening along the way. I view therapy as an active collaboration, with both of us doing our part to help you get to where you want to be.

What does therapy look like?
Sessions last 45-50 minutes and are typically at the same time and day each week, although we can also be flexible. Some people come to psychotherapy for just a few weeks or months, while others find that open-ended psychotherapy allows them the time and space to explore multiple issues. I offer sessions both virtually and in person, and it’s okay to always come in person, always come virtually, or to switch it up as needed.
Psychotherapy (talk therapy) is about creating a safe, welcoming environment for you to talk about and explore issues, ideas, or feelings that you don’t want to – or aren’t able to – talk about in your day-to-day life. You might use psychotherapy to target specific problems or for general support. Or, you might use psychotherapy as a way to discover more about yourself and to uncover and explore deeper patterns of thinking, feeling, and interacting with others to become the best possible version of you.
